; Effortless Effort | Deerpark Institute

Truly one of kind, the Deer Park Institute is brainchild of visionary Buddhist teacher Dzongsar Jamyang Khyentse Rinpoche, known to many as the film director behind the movies The Cup, and Travelers and Magicians.

Located a few hours south of Dharamsala in North India, it incorporates classes and activities from many academic, cultural, spiritual dimensions, everything from Buddhist philosophy, to fine art, to sustainability issues.  With activities that are truly ongoing, and serving a very diverse and international community, they needed a site that was rich in information and could act as nodal point for travelers, event goers and the community at large.

Since the "branding" and logo of the institute were largely fixed, the challenge was to adapt and sharpen the motifs in the previous site and print materials while accommodating a much more elaborate sitetree and richer content. Thanks so much to Adon Newman for helping on short notice with this cross-continental effort.

It was an honor to work on this project as Deer Park Institute and its mission are very close to my heart.  It was also a pleasure to work with a client that had a clear vision for the site and where it could go.
